Chung’s is a martial arts school in Chicago focusing on having fun. Valuable martial arts philosophies we teach are respect, character, discipline and how to safely break boards!
Chung’s Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do Academy has been located at 6719 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago, IL, 60631 since 1982. The Academy is a member in good standing of the World Tae Kwon Do Federation and the United States of America Tae Kwon Do Union (which is a member of the Olympic Committee). The Academy is also a member of the Pan American Moo Duk Kwon and the World Ko Am Mu Do Federation.
Beginning November 1st 2021 Master Van Mieghem will reopen the academy as Guardian Way Martial Arts and Fitness at 6670 North Northwest Highway just a block away from our current location.
We will be offering students a chance to train in not only traditional martial arts such as Taekwondo and Hapkido but also introducing our own, brand new national award-winning martial art – Guardian Way.
Guardian Way offers unique and cutting edge training in striking, grappling, ground fighting, weapons and self-healing techniques. All disciplines, belts and skill levels are welcome. We look forward to working with you and your children as they begin or continue their martial arts journey.
